Taaleri Investments Ltd, part of Taaleri Group, has accepted a binding purchase offer made by Etera Mutual Pension Insurance Company for all of the forest fund Metsärahasto II Ky’s company holdings. Metsärahasto II Ky is a special purpose vehicle whose only asset is an approximately 19.77% holding of Finsilva Plc shares.
The offer is expected to lead to the finalisation of the sale by the end of April. If the sale is finalised, it will have a positive impact on Taaleri Group’s result for 2016. Taaleri leaves its earnings guidance unchanged.
Finsilva Plc owns around 130,000 hectares of forest, mainly in Central Finland and the Tampere Region.
